Elephant Safari Sports

Elephant Safari can also be termed as Royal Safari. Elephant Safari can be arranged on special request, in advance, in almost all prominent National parks of Central India like Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, Satpura, Panna national park etc. Generally during Tiger Show in National Park, elephant show is organized by park officials. When tiger is somewhere away from jeep track and not visible from safari Jeep, elephants are used to carry maximum 4 persons at a time and taken them to close to Tiger, so that them can see tiger/s and take some photographs from their camera. For elephant safari, a nominal prescribed fee is charged by the Mahaout on the spot. Usually tiger show are held in morning safari time so elephant safari can also be enjoyed during morning safari only. In case anyone want to do exclusive elephant safari, he can do so with the prior permission of National Park Field Director. Usually elephants are used for patrolling and tiger tracking and not lent for exclusive park safari but still is Field Director allows, it can be done. Generally permissions are given to those whose intention is to do some study on wildlife or making wildlife film or documentary etc.
